McCord Herbst Student Veteran Center

Military Friendly Badge Mil Spouse Friendly

The McCord-Herbst Student Veteran Center is open to all military-affiliated students!  We are located in Gateway Hall, behind Parking and Transportation.  We have coffee, tea, soda and snacks, study areas, computers, and a lounge area where you can watch TV or just hang out with other students.  Ask us about our free textbook loan program, our Student Veteran Organization, and how to utilize your VA Education Benefits.

Did you know that 1 in 4 students at UCCS are military-affiliated?  It's true!  24% of UCCS students are Veterans, Active Duty, National Guard, Reservists, and their family members! We are proud to serve you!

UCCS is proud to announce the Active Duty Tuition Assistance Grant, beginning in Fall 2023.  Active-duty undergraduate students using military tuition assistance (TA) are eligible for a grant that covers tuition, fees, and required materials for courses eligible for TA.
