Student Veterans (Mentees)

Student veterans will be matched with an appropriate mentor within the community based on their career goals and interests. Once the mentor and mentee are matched and connected, the program begins.  Throughout the semester, the mentor and mentee will meet five times according to their respective availability.  The mentee will also meet once with a specialist from the T. Rowe Price Career and Innovation Center to finish up the program.

UCCS juniors, seniors, and graduate students are eligible to apply to the program.  Once your application is received, an initial interview will be scheduled with the Veteran and Military Affairs (VMA) Student Engagement and Programs Coordinator.  This interview will cover program expectations and guidelines, as well as explore the applicant's career goals.

Following an exit interview and survey, mentees will have successfully completed the Boots to Suits program and will have earned a $500 gift card to purchase professional attire appropriate for their career field.

To submit an application for the upcoming Fall cohort, please complete the Boots to Suits Mentee Application.
