Mentors

Typically, mentors are veterans who have successfully transitioned from military to civilian employment, are often highly experienced in their career field, and are willing and able to give back to the veteran community.  Please note, being a veteran is not a requirement to be a mentor in this program.  Each student is thoughtfully matched according to their career plans and interests with an appropriate mentor.  Volunteer mentors meet virtually and/or in-person with their mentees five times over a six-month time period to help their student veterans gain valuable information regarding their chosen career field, encourage networking, and provide valuable feedback on students' resumes. 

Community members who are interested in mentoring a student veteran are invited to fill out a Boots to Suits Mentor Application.  Cohorts begin each fall semester.
